Rooftop G3, who provide support for young people aged 16-25 years in Gloucestershire, are looking for volunteers to assist in the running of a number of activities and social events for residents living in supported housing. Some of these teach young people new skills while others are just for fun:
These workshops are designed to help manage money, pay rent and/or help identify where money goes. We could even help to start saving.
These workshops will help learn vital cooking skills to be able to live independently.
These are held in the music room at Gloucester Gateway, where there are musical instruments and microphones.
Learning how to dance or practice skills by using the' just dance' computer game on the Wii.
Gardening and 'grow your own':
Some projects have vegetable patches where you can practice your gardening skills and grow produce.
These workshop are in projects to reward residents for being active in taking support. They also can be used to help you understand issues that other people may be experiencing.
We use a variety of sport based activities designed to encourage exercise, whilst having fun.
What are they looking for?
