Activities Assistant  with Extra Care Charitable Trust (Glos) (Ref: 104)
Opportunity picture
The Extra Care Charitable Trust is the pioneer of Village communities which enable people to enjoy active and independent lifestyles in their later years.

As activities promoter you will assist with the promotions of activities within the scheme.

This is an important role, as you will be ensuring that proper procedures are followed and will be encouraging the residents to participate in the activities on offer.

Daily tasks will include, helping the co-ordinators to promote a varied range of activities, to keep the notice boards up to date, complete booking forms, and to assist in general office work such as the production of flyers and leaflets.

As an Extra Care volunteer you will be well supported and highly valued.

Some of the people they support are not as mobile as they once were, but this doesn't diminish their ability to enjoy life - a little help from a volunteer can go a long way.
What are they looking for?

It will be a lively and fun place to work, and at times unpredictable, so you must be able to adapt to different situations and easily be able to communicate if you have a concern. They are looking for someone who has the ability to work in a friendly yet professional manner, and enjoys working as part of a team.
