The volunteer will help to maintain the gardens which are an important element in the provision of an attractive, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere at Longfield.

The role involves helping to look after the flower borders, vegetable garden, and developing various areas within the grounds in agreement with the Caretaker/ Handyman.

Someone fit and active, with an interest in gardening, who likes being outdoors .

Respect for the confidential nature of the work of Longfield and the patients who visit.

Practical

Own transport required. Expenses covered.

Longfield is a hospice which provides specialist services for people living with a life-threatening illness in Gloucestershire. We provide palliative care, complementary therapies, counselling, and a range of out patient services in our Hospice Day Unit. We aim to meet the changing needs of the community around us and incorporate best practice in the field of palliative care.

The majority of our services are provided free of charge within an agreed plan of care.
