Van Driver  with Longfield (Hospice) (Ref: 1091)
Opportunity picture
To provide safe transport to and from people’s homes and the Longfield shops of donations and rubbish. To ensure transportation of donations and rubbish is done with due care. To attend relevant meetings/training courses for volunteers.
What are they looking for?

To be in possession of a clean driving licence
Fit and healthy, suitable to lift heavy bags and some furniture
Good interpersonal skills /communication skills
Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
To be able to offer one day per week on a rota basis; start 8:30 am with variable time finish between 12:30 and 3:30 according to route and workload


Working hours are Monday to Saturday in the morning and afternoon. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed. Volunteers from all age groups are welcomed, however the minimum age is 24.

When: Mornings/Afternoons, Mon-Fri
Age requirements: Over 18


About Longfield (Hospice)
Longfield is a hospice which provides specialist services for people living with a life-threatening illness in Gloucestershire. We provide palliative care, complementary therapies, counselling, and a range of out patient services in our Hospice Day Unit. We aim to meet the changing needs of the community around us and incorporate best practice in the field of palliative care.

The majority of our services are provided free of charge within an agreed plan of care.
