Stroud District Trustee  with Home-Start Stroud District (Ref: 1105)

Opportunity picture
A Home-Start Trustee is a volunteer who sits on the trustee board of the scheme to govern it. Trustees delegate the responsibility for the day-to-day running of the scheme to paid professional staff. They carry out a wide range of duties and are responsible for making the charity effective, providing overall direction and maintaining sound management of funds. Being a trustee gives many opportunities for personal development and the chance to give something back to your local community.
What are they looking for?

The trustees come from all walks of life, bringing their experience and individual skills to the scheme. The kind of skills that are in demand are business or personnel management, finance and fundraising, IT and communications. But no special qualifications are required - common sense , an ability to work as part of a team, an understanding of the pressures facing parents today and a genuine interest in supporting parents in your community are just as important to us. All trustees must be at least 18 years of age.
As a Home-Start Representative you will have an outgoing personality who loves to interact with other people and talk about the benefits of Home-Start and volunteering.
