Smallholding Support (General)  with The Orchard Trust (Ref: 1149)

The Orchard Trust Smallholding currently has Pigmy goats, chickens, ducks, a cow, sheep and small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. It is a safe environment that is surrounded by forest owned by the Trust and has land used for growing a variety of produce. For this role they would like a volunteer to help with the day to day smallholding work, this would include working with the animals, fixing and maintaining fences and many other varied duties, no day will be the same! The site is also accessed by people with learning and physical disabilities so it is important that the volunteer will work alongside all visitors and people who are enjoying and participating in therapeutic work activities.
What are they looking for?

Experience in some maintenance tasks would be an advantage as would working with animals
To maintain confidentiality
A willingness to learn and undertake training

Practical

Working hours are Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.

When: Mornings/Afternoons, Mon-Fri
Age requirements: Over 18
