Van Crew at Reclaim  with Vision 21 (Ref: 1159)

Reclaim are looking for volunteers for the van crew. Working as part of a team, the volunteer must be fit, able to lift/carry and follow instructions. Lunch is provided and hours are flexible. Any necessary health and safety equipment will be provided and volunteers undergo a month's trial period.

With day-to-day support and guidance, volunteers are able to learn new skills, gain experience and develop confidence in a safe working environment.

Reclaim supplies furniture and paint to 1600 low income families per year as well as stopping about 50 tonnes of surplus furniture and paint going to landfill. By volunteering at Reclaim you are not only helping the environment but you are also giving something back to your community.
What are they looking for?

Fit, able to lift and carry heavy objects in a safe manner
Must be able to follow instructions and be able to work as part of a team
Polite as there will be some interaction with members of the public
Manual Handling training provided
Potential opportunities include learning new skills in PAT testing and the workshop


Working hours are Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.
