Advert Writer  with Volunteering Gloucestershire (Ref: 117)
Opportunity picture
Volunteering Gloucestershire, brings charities and volunteers together and in this role you'll be playing a vital part in making this happen. The need is to turn volunteer "job descriptions" into exciting on line advertising copy that draws people in to help children, old people, animals, the environment, etc.
What are they looking for?

Literacy: Not expecting Booker Prize standard but better than average written English is a must. Spoken English ability is much less important.

Computer Literacy: You need to be a competent user of Microsoft Office packages. Touch-typing is not essential as the quality of your writing is more important than the speed. If you're a little bit fanatical about attention to detail, that would be good too.

Experience: It will help a lot if you have a good understanding of how charities and the voluntary sector "tick". You've probably volunteered somewhere before.

It may be possible to do a lot of the writing from home if you already have a fairly modern PC. The building is wheelchair accessible and open 9-5 Monday-Friday. Workload varies but is around 5 adverts/week

When: Variable times
Age requirements: Over 18
