Are you a bit green fingered? Gardening Volunteers to help out with weeding, mowing the grass, hedge clipping and general maintenance.
They’re a charity with 18 homes for older people across Gloucestershire. Their residents love their gardens, watching the leaves change throughout the year and getting out watching the butterflies in the summer but they need maintaining.
The residents require help with potting up planters and planting out the vegetable gardens to help them win the annual inter-home garden competition.
If you can spare a few hours a week to help out the Handyman and put a smile on the face of their residents, you'll be made very welcome.
DBS checks are carried out, however a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from volunteering.
Volunteers from all age groups are welcomed, however the minimum age for this role is 16.
What are they looking for?
Experience of gardening either commercially or having your own garden. Enthusiasm to do any job required to keep the gardens looking neat and tidy. Knowledge of plants always a bonus.
When: Mornings/Afternoons, any day
Age requirements: 16 upwards
Orchard House, Woodmans Way, Bishop's Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 8DP
