Would you like to support Big Issue sellers as they work their way out of homelessness? The Outreach Volunteer will aid the day to day operations of the Sales and Outreach workers as they conduct Big Issue operations in and around Gloucester city centre.
The key tasks are to provide magazines and check on vendors; assess the effectiveness of current pitches, find new ones and interact with potential vendors. In addition, to raise awareness by providing local businesses with information about The Big Issue and networking with other Third Sector organisations.
The role takes place across Gloucester City Centre only.
What are they looking for?
Working hours are Wednesday and Friday mornings, plus Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.
When: Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning
Age requirements: Over 18

Together, the Big Issue Company and Foundation strive to create opportunities for people facing homelessness to take greater control of their lives, and to campaign on behalf of and empower socially excluded people.
