Do you want to gain experience in an office environment? Or do you miss the buzz of a friendly office and have some time to spare?

Guideposts Carers Emergency Scheme needs volunteers to handle their office-based administration duties at St. James' Court in Gloucester. In this position you would handle phone calls (not emergency line calls), general office duties and preparation of registration packs. You will also be able to attend events and assist with promotion of the scheme.
What are they looking for?

This position would suit volunteers with strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly a friendly, patient telephone manner and an open-minded approach to individuals that avoids stereotyping and judgment. Applicants should be flexible and willing to learn, able to work in accordance with policies and procedures, and possessing basic computer literacy and recording-keeping skills.


Volunteers will be selected upon interview.

When: Mornings/Afternoons, Mon-Fri
Age requirements: All ages
