Interested in Health, Fitness and Netball? Tewkesbury Netball Club wants you! They need volunteers to assist with the running of weekly netball sessions with a qualified level 2 Coach on Wednesdays at 7-9pm at the Bredon School Sports Hall. As an Assistant Coach, you will help by setting up courts and equipment, timing play, supporting players with encouragement, and recording statistics. This role has the potential for developing into getting involved in session planning, player & team development & coaching a small section of training.
The club will offer Level 1 or Level 2 Award training to a committed assistant coach if they are interested. Qualifications in first aid, general fitness or sports massage would be considered if a volunteer had an interest in these areas. Affiliation to England Netball as a volunteer will be given which affords some personal insurance. The experience gained in this role would be beneficial for future job applications & the club would of course provide a glowing reference for inclusion in your CV.
What are they looking for?
This role would suit an applicant enthusiastic about health, fitness and netball with a willingness to learn and socialise. The volunteer must be committed and attend regularly, with good observation and communication skills to handle the busy environment.
Training in first aid, fitness & netball coaching can be arranged to support a volunteer in this role.
