This is an opportunity for anyone serious about conservation. TCV is seeking volunteers to join their outdoor action team, where successful applicants will have the chance to see more of Gloucestershire, learn new skills, meet new and interesting people and protect your local environment.
You will undertake a range of activities in both urban and rural areas, from planting trees and wild flower meadows, to building stiles, clearing footpaths and creating new food growing projects.
What are they looking for?
No specific skills, qualifications or experiences are necessary, as full training will be supplied to successful applicants.
Insurance cover in place.
When: Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning, Wednesday afternoon
Age requirements: 16 upwards
About The Conservation Volunteers (Glos)
To undertake schemes for the protection and conservation of the countryside in terms of habitat, landscape and access. TCV in Gloucestershire organises volunteer work programmes, while also supporting the ambitions of many local conservation groups. They also provide training in many traditional countryside skills.All activities allied to conservation. Environmental training courses are carried out in Gloucester, in such skills as hedge laying, bird identification and ecology.. Midweek tasks are organised, covering a variety of conservation needs.Cannot accept volunteers under 16. Volunteers of 16 and 17 must have parental consent.
