The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) are seeking volunteers to help support local branch support meetings (occurring on 1st Thursday of each Month between 2-4pm) for people living with and affected by MND. These meetings and informal and offer a chance for people to come together to share news and express feelings.
In your capacity as an Assistant, you will be working as part of a team of volunteers to help ensure that all who attend the events feel welcome, included and have an enjoyable social experience. Your main tasks will include helping prepare for the meetings, arranging venues, preparing refreshments and assisting with the tidying.
What are they looking for?
Applicants should be reliable and organised, with good listening skills and a warm, empathetic manner.
Volunteers will receive a full induction.
