Help Charities Recruit Volunteers - Liaison Volunteer  with Volunteering Gloucestershire (Ref: 1410)

Opportunity picture
Got a good idea of what volunteering is all about? What to make it work for volunteers and charities? Like meeting people? You might be the ideal person to help us deliver a better service!

We need someone to talk to charities about their volunteer needs and help them to formulate them into roles we can effectively advertise. There’s a wide range of charities – small one person and a dog organisations right up to international operations. Sometimes you’ll be helping them through our simple free service but where appropriate you’ll gently “sell” them our additional services to take their recruitment to the next level.

This role might be helpful for people hoping to get paid jobs in "Business Development" or in a charity.
What are they looking for?

You need to be comfortable communicating with people face to face, by phone and online/email.
You need to be able to spot when a charity could benefit from our paid services and persuade them to make this investment - but no hard sell!
You've probably volunteered for a charity before.
You probably know Gloucestershire well.

Practical

You'll spend part of your time "in the field" around Gloucestershire and part in our office in Cheltenham which is fully wheelchair accessible.
Reasonable expenses covered

When: Mornings/Afternoons, Mon-Fri
Age requirements: Over 18
Where?

340 High St, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 3JF
