Warmer Cheltenham is a new volunteer led energy saving project. Organised by Vision 21 with a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, a website has been designed for people who want to sympathetically renovate older properties and in particular anyone wanting to save energy.
The website is up and running and they want to recruit volunteers to act as Messengers and tell people all about it, spreading the word to their friends, work colleagues and possibly at community events. No previous experience is necessary and there is no selling involved.
Messengers will be part of a team making a positive contribution to Cheltenham, and making it a more sustainable place in which to live by helping people to reduce their fuel bills and energy consumption.
What are they looking for?
All Messengers will receive a free half day training session, covering the basics of home energy and efficiency saving in older properties and how to use and navigate the website.
Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.
When: Mornings/Afternoons, any day
Age requirements: Over 18
