Local Volunteer Representative  with Arthritis Research UK (VG) (Ref: 1471)

This role will be based in your local community and is flexible around your availability and interests. You will be supporting the charity by attending cheque presentations, giving talks about the work of Arthritis Research UK and attending local events as a representative of the charity. This role not only contributes vital funds to help people living with the pain of arthritis but also raises awareness of our work in your community.
What are they looking for?

This is an ideal role for someone with excellent communication skills, who is confident giving talks, is approachable and is willing to learn about arthritis and the role played by Arthritis Research UK. Depending on your interests, you could:
• Engage with Arthritis Research UK's supporters
• Attend cheque presentations on behalf of Arthritis Research UK
• Give talks to a range of community groups about the work that Arthritis Research UK does
• Participate in external events to raise awareness of Arthritis Research UK
• Provide support to those fundraising in aid of Arthritis Research UK, You don't need previous speaking experience, just a willingness to share a passion for a very important cause. If you want to build your confidence and expose yourself to a new challenge this could be the role for you.

Practical

This opportunity will take place in the local community and involves communicating and engaging with community groups and individuals, There is no local office or staff member and the role would be remotely supported. There is no reason that someone with visual impairment or mobility issues could not perform this role provided they had good communication skills.
