The Orchard Trust is offering volunteers a chance to get involved with their hydrotherapy programme. The more people they have available to help in these sessions, the more sessions they can offer to those who need them.

Hydrotherapy improves the lives of adults who have complex and multiple disabilities, and as a Swim Aid you will support these clients in the pool and help them enjoy and get the most from these sessions. Your role will entail helping them with pool games and supporting the therapeutic programmes.

Volunteers will be expected to attend one or more of the two hour daily swim sessions (run at 10.00am, 12.00noon and 2.00pm) on a weekly basis.
What are they looking for?

Volunteers will need to be:

Physically fit and able to swim confidently, and have good eyesight and hearing.

Good with people, confident, approachable and fun, with excellent communication skills and a responsible and caring attitude.

Willing to learn and undertake training.

Practical

Volunteers will receive a full induction and any additional relevant training they may require.

Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.

When: Mornings/Afternoons, Mon-Fri
