This role requires someone with office experience, suitable for someone who has some spare time, who would like to do something that benefits the community in a relaxed environment with a friendly, easy-going team.
Duties will include answering the phone and arranging bike collections from the public, booking people on to courses, using Excel, helping to improve and manage our filing system, archiving, replying to emails, support with arranging events, social media and website updating - essentially just making sure the office runs smoothly.
There may also be opportunities to help develop new projects for the benefit of the community and to liaise with other organisations and individuals to help maximize the positive impact the organisation has on peoples lives. Working hours are Mon-Sat 9am - 5pm, with late evenings to catch up on overdue admin tasks, however for this role, working hours are flexible. The ideal volunteer will be able to commit to 2 or more days per week, though some of the duties of the role can be carried out from home.
What are they looking for?
This opportunity would suit an experienced office administrator with computer literacy and a confident and friendly telephone manner. The volunteer should be able to take direction and work on their own initiative. A willingness to provide opinions and the ability to effectively use social media would also be helpful, but is not necessary.
Volunteers will receive a full induction.
