Strike A Light are a fast growing, exciting creative organisation and are looking for a volunteer who can support the marketing and delivery of their events. This role is ideal for those interested in festivals, events, dance or theatre, and if you would like to gain experience in working with the press, print marketing, social media, managing events, box office or audience engagement. Strike A Light are happy to adapt the focus of their role to suit the right person, but the overall aim is to support their small team to deliver two brilliant festivals per year, along with a range of other events, community projects and new shows. Ideally this role would be for one day a week on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, but the times of this could be adjusted to suit.
What are they looking for?

Strike A Light are looking for someone who is a confident communicator, happy to talk to people and used to using IT to create documents etc. Experience of using different software e.g. to edit images or update a website would be great but this is by no means essential. Strike A Light are happy to provide training in different aspects of marketing, events management and the software packages we use to create e-newsletters etc. The ideal person would be enthusiastic, friendly have lots of initiative and want to learn more.

Practical

Volunteers will receive a full induction and any additional relevant training they may require.

When: Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon
