About Emmaus Gloucestershire
Emmaus Gloucestershire logo
Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing meaningful work in social enterprises as well as a stable home for as long as someone needs it. The first Emmaus community opened in the UK in 1992 and there are now 29, supporting more than 750 formerly homeless people.

In Gloucestershire there is a home and work for over 30 'companions', as residents are known, who work full-time refurbishing donated furniture and household goods, which are then sold in one of five community shops.
