They are looking for translators for their website, World Stories, where they translate stories in the top 20 most spoken languages in the UK for their children to enjoy for free.
The idea of World Stories is brought about by KidsOut (the fun and happiness charity). World Stories is a growing collection of stories from around the world, which includes retold traditional tales and new short stories in the 20 languages most spoken by UK children. These stories help us understand each other and learn about other cultures, as well as celebrating our own traditions and culture. But most of all they are fun! They also have audio version for multiple stories on the site.
This exciting project is looking for volunteers who could translate stories into multiple languages.
What are they looking for?
Working hours are flexible. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed. The actual translating can be done at home or in the office, whichever is most convenient for the volunteer.
When: Any day/time

About KidsOut (VG)
Each year more than 20,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in refuge. Typically leaving home with only the clothes on their back, these children have experienced physical, emotional, and even sexual abuse and arrive at refuge with nothing. In collaboration with Women’s Aid, partner charities and corporate supporters, KidsOut works to remind these children and thousands of others living with disadvantages what it is like to be children and just have fun.
