Your role, as the face of Carers Gloucestershire in your local community, would be to increase awareness and understanding of carers, and to raise funds so that those who are caring for loved ones get help when they desperately need it.
What you do within this role with depend on your strengths and interests, but you could run events in your local community, deliver talks to local groups and organisations, organise collection boxes and use your local knowledge to identify new fundraising opportunities. You can liaise with, and will have the support of, the Fundraising Manager.
They are looking for ambassadors all around the county and encourage several ambassadors to volunteer together.
What are they looking for?
To do this role you would need to have good levels of confidence and interpersonal skills to engage appropriately with the general public. You also need to have a willingness to ask people to support the charity through fundraising or volunteering.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
