Activities and one to one chats with residents (Longford)  with Cedar Trust (Ref: 1540)
Opportunity picture
They would like to you to have one to one chats and play board games with residents who don't enjoy leaving their personal rooms, helping them on trips out on the minibus and generally becoming a friendly familiar face their residents can speak to and communicate with.

You can probably appreciate it is very difficult for care staff to find enough time to talk and socialise along with doing personal care and meals etc.
What are they looking for?

People skills - enjoys chatting and is a good listener.

They can quite literally have volunteers in just about any time of the day, 7 days a week. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.

When: Variable times
Age requirements: Under 16 only

About Cedar Trust
Cedar Trust logo
They are a family-owned local company that has been caring for people in Gloucestershire for over three decades. They opened their first home in Cheltenham in 1986 with one aim in mind – to look after everyone in a warm, compassionate, safe and friendly environment.

Although they offer the very best care for you or your loved one, their five homes are much more than just about caring; they are about enriching people’s lives at a time when they thought that might not be easily achieved. They have been, and remain, proud to be able to help people find happiness, friendship and fulfilment in their later years.
