The Café at the heart of Leisure@Cheltenham leisure centre believes in delivering great customer service to its patrons. They are looking for volunteers to support the Food and Beverage Coordinator in the running of the hospitality and catering operations of the Café.

If you are interested in a career in catering or hospitality, this role would be an ideal way of gaining experience. Or if you already have the skills but have some time on your hands, this could be just up your street.

Tasks would include ensuring the customer dining and vending areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. You would assist in preparing and serving a range of meals, snacks and beverages to consistently high standard of quality and presentation in line with menu guidelines and portion control and you would of course ensure all items are paid for in accordance with the pricing policy.
What are they looking for?

Do you believe in the importance of great customer service? Keen to learn new skills?
You would have an interest in how a café runs, in food preparation and retail but previous experience is not essential as full training would be provided. Enthusiasm and good communication skills are desirable!

Practical

Induction and training are provided.
