Helping at 'Little Tots' playgroup  with Roots Community Cafe (Ref: 1631)
Opportunity picture
Playgroups can offer a sanctuary for parents and carers, allowing children to interact with others and try out new activities whilst at the same time providing support for the adults. This is a very rewarding role where you will become part of the team running a popular playgroup for parents and young children. Tasks include helping to set out toys and snacks, providing fun activities such as craft and singing, chatting with parents and carers and clearing away at the end of each session.
What are they looking for?

Are you good with people? Able to strike up a conversation and help put people at ease? Do you like young children and are you happy working in an environment that may get a little noisy at times? If you are reliable, with a friendly persona and are willing to have a go at a variety of different activities, you would be a very welcome addition to the team at the Roots Community Café.

This role may be suitable for those with additional needs such as visual and hearing impairments or mobility issues. Wheelchair access and disabled toilet facilities are available.
It could also suit younger volunteers under the age of 18.

When: Friday morning
