Computer Skills Buddy  with Salters Hill Charity (VG) (Ref: 271)

Opportunity picture
Volunteer required to support someone to develop the skills to keep in touch with friends and family.

They are looking for a friendly and approachable volunteer who would be able to spend roughly an hour each week with one of the people they support to practise skills in using different aspects of the internet. This would enable them to stay in touch with friends and family (e.g. Email and Skype) and to use the internet for entertainment.

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in education or who would like to spend some time getting to know someone new. You will have the opportunity to meet the person you will be working with before making a commitment to ensure that you would both like to go ahead with this arrangement.
What are they looking for?

They are looking for a friendly individual willing to provide basic computer support to someone about how to stay in touch with people.
