Come and join this positive, forward thinking team!
They are looking for one or more individuals to fulfil this role, including:
* applying for grants
They would like our Fundraiser/s to increase the contributions of individuals and groups to the charity by building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities from various sources. You could be writing a bid to a trust or grant funding organisation, seeking support from a local business, working with major donors, planning a fundraising event or even taking part in a challenge event yourself.
The ability to network is important, since success in the role depends heavily on being able to forge positive relationships with supporters and funding organisations.
As a fundraiser you would automatically be creating positive awareness of the charity's work, aims and goals.
What are they looking for?
* Comfortable with speaking to senior representatives of third-party organisations and the ability to deliver verbal and written presentations to potential funders
This is predominantly a "working from home" position, but may involve travel across Gloucestershire to meet potential funders, or participate in fundraising events. Your own transport is preferred. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed by the charity, for agreed activities.
When: Variable times
Age requirements: Over 18
About Gloucestershire Crimestoppers
Crimestoppers is the only independent charity in the UK to help fight crime. It is a national organisation with regional arms. The Gloucestershire Crimestoppers Committee has been running for the last twenty years and strongly believes that people should be able to live without the fear of crime.
Crimestoppers makes it possible for anyone with information on any crime type to report it anonymously 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, by phone or online – they are only interested in what you know, not who you are! They also have a youth brand for those aged 11 upwards. Fearless.org is a site where young people can access non-judgemental information and advice about crime and criminality. It provides them with a safe place to give information about crime - 100% anonymously.
The Gloucestershire Committee is strong, with very committed members, who all give their time for free. They run a tight ship and use funds wisely on initiatives that create impact, with the support of the Regional Manager.
Most recently this has included:
• Fearless from Knife Crime prevent sessions going into Secondary Schools
• An Ambassador programme – asking local businesses and organisations to join us in raising awareness
• Switch on your lights for safe streets – a burglary campaign which provided prevention advice and raised awareness of Crimestoppers across the county
