Here at The Donkey Sanctuary, they are always trying to find new ways to involve their supporters, as well as raising funds to continue to help donkeys and mules in distress around the globe. Your help means that over 16,000 donkeys have now been given a home for life at one of their UK sanctuaries.
They are very excited to be setting up fundraising groups around Gloucestershire. This will eventually be part of a wider network, all raising vital funds and spreading awareness in local communities. If you have an interest in fundraising, they would like to invite you to be part of this group.
The fundraising group is a chance to bring like-minded people together to support the work of The Donkey Sanctuary. This might be holding events, asking local businesses if they would consider a collection tin for their till, helping with supermarket collections or giving talks to groups.
If you would like to know more, or if this sounds like something that you would like to be a part of, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. They would love to hear from you!
What are they looking for?
Volunteers do not need any specific training or qualifications. Skills vary slightly depending on what you wish to do within the fundraising group. If you have experience organising events perhaps you could organise fundraisers within your community. If you are happy speaking in front of others maybe you would like to give talks about the sanctuary to local groups. The most important factor by far is enthusiasm!
This opportunity can be done in your local area, no fixed address. Working times are flexible.
When: Variable times
Age requirements: 16 upwards
