Carers Gloucestershire is an independent, carer led charitable organisation that seeks to empower carers across the county to promote their rights and enable them to make positive choices to improve the quality of their lives.
Many people who look after a loved-one do not know that there is free help and support available to them in their caring. Hospital Ambassadors go into Gloucester Royal Hospital once a month to let carers know that there is free help is available. Volunteers 'man' a display stand and also actively approach people they think may want to know about the service.
Volunteers from all age groups are welcomed, however the minimum age for this role is 16. Disabled Access.
What are they looking for?
No previous experience is required although you must be happy to talk to the general public and to be in a Hospital environment. Training will be provided about the work of Carers Gloucestershire.
