Gloucester & District Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity that provides free, confidential, impartial advice services to residents of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

They have a busy reception based in Cheltenham and they are now looking for a rota of volunteers to help with reception duties Monday - Thursday morning and afternoons.

You'll be meeting and greeting all visitors into the offices, explaining waiting times and procedures and give relevant information about the CAB and other advice services where necessary. You will also be answering the telephone and referring calls to the relevant departments and process client information collected at the reception helpdesk.

You will be working with a diverse range of people and therefore will need to have excellent communication skills.

Understanding of discrimination

Experience of providing reception services

Excellent verbal communication skills

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Good IT skills including MS Word, email and internet

Friendly and approachable

Able to manage your time effectively

Practical

A ramp is available to be put out for wheelchair users.
