Fuelled by passion and backed by expertise Glo-active works with young people aged 8 and upwards. They provide quality experiences and activities to suit the varying needs of all young people and their parents or carers, benefitting the wider community along the way through their innovative Community interest scheme.

They are now looking for Social Group Helpers to assist with inclusive social groups, which take place across the county in the evening for adults with disabilities. They have clubs in the Forest of Dean, Stroud and Cheltenham. They have activities such as meals out, cinema, bowling, craft etc. Activities of this nature not only reduce social isolation, increase independence and confidence but also improve life skills such as handling money, how to act in a social setting.

DBS checks are carried out, however having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from volunteering.

Volunteers from all age groups are welcomed, however the minimum age for this role is 18.
What are they looking for?

Friendly, reliable, helpful, motivated and able to use own initiative.

Able to work in challenging situations, but most of all likes working with people.
