Tuesday nights at The Rock are aimed at supporting the transition from junior school to secondary, working with years 6,7 & 8 (ages 10 to 13).
Volunteers are needed to join the team which offer an exciting, safe and fun environment for the young people. You would be involved in activities and engaging with the young people using the centre.
If you enjoy working with young people and keeping active this could be the volunteer role for you.
Activities you might get involved with or lead could be; cooking, art, gender specific nights, wide variety of sports, computer games, dance, music, drama... whatever your interests!
Volunteers from all age groups are welcomed, however the minimum age for this role is 18.
DBS checks are carried out, however having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from volunteering.
What are they looking for?
No previous experience is needed and training is provided. This role would suit someone creative that might have ideas and skills to share to help the Tuesday night sessions develop.
When: Variable times
Age requirements: Over 18

About The Rock
The Rock is safe space for young people to develop their emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. They live out practical Christian love for all young people, regardless of faith or background, through challenging activities from urban street sports to essential life skills.
During school hours, they work with young people who are disengaged, or are at risk of becoming disengaged, from mainstream education. In the evenings their doors are open to all young people who want somewhere safe to hang out, to play sports, or to learn new skills.
