Could you be our new events organiser? Are you motivated, organised, enthusiastic and have a sense of fun about you?

They are looking for either an individual or a team of people who all have an interest in organising events, whether big or small. The events can be as varied as you like but with the aim of raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in the local community and raising funds so they can continue to support people in are region who are living with or affected by MND.

This role requires people who are naturally organized and like to have fun, you won’t be on your own as although you are the event organiser there are other volunteers willing to help as required so leadership skills would be an advantage or if these are the skills you are looking to develop perhaps this is for you.

The event organisers are responsible for all aspects of event management – from first ideas, to risk assessments, booking venues, promoting and on the day management.

You will be fully supported by regional members of staff and the local Branch Committee and all expenses relating to the role will be reimbursed.

Good communication skills
Basic IT Skills
Able to attend monthly meetings
Well organised and self motivated
Understanding of event planning or management

Practical

The committee meet once a month at Churchdown but otherwise this role is home-based with travel to venues and events as required. Working times are flexible and depend on your availability.
