Cheltenham First Stop aims to remove barriers to accessing multiple support services by bringing a range of key statutory and voluntary sector agencies together in one easily accessible location in the heart of the community. By working together in a single location, the partnership offers a focussed, unified, multi-role service which directly benefits the clients by removing the need for people to locate, travel to, and undergo needs assessments by several different agencies

Administration Assistants support Cheltenham First Stop’s lead receptionist/administrator by providing reception cover and undertaking the following duties:

• Improving key documents to set specifications
• Liaising with key individuals via telephone, reporting back to lead receptionist/administrator
• Inputting client data / information using Advice Pro
• Helping manage filing systems
• Typing meeting minutes
• Photocopying key documents
• Archiving documents
What are they looking for?

Essential skills:

• An interest in building CCP’s profile through commitment, reliability and good interpersonal skills
• Moderate computer proficiency (especially MS Office)
• A confident telephone manner
• An open minded and non-judgemental approach
• A friendly and approachable manner
• An understanding of, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality
• A willingness to engage in training relevant to the role
• Able to take direction and work on own initiative

Desirable skills:

• Experience of the issues facing disenfranchised, socially isolated individuals
• Flexibility
• Willingness to contribute ideas towards the positive development of CFS
• A good sense of humour

Practical

Working times are Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon, however the hours can vary to suit your availability from 4 hours per week to 37. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.
