To support the running of a ‘work readiness program’ for young people aged 16-25 affected by homelessness.
Tasks will include helping the young people with:
• CV writing.
• Interview skills.
• Discussions around dress code and language used for interviews.
• Job searching.
• Finding work experience opportunities.
Volunteers may be asked to lead on a session based on one of the above topics. This role would include some 1 2 1 client work but volunteers will not be asked to lone work.
What are they looking for?
Volunteers should be able to employ a patient and non-judgmental approach to service user’s needs.
Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed. Working times are Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon, however the hours depend on your availability.
