Welcoming at Discover DeCrypt means being part of a friendly team, with the chance to develop skills as a heritage guide if you wish. You will meet a wide range of people, developing your skills in customer service, with responsibility for ensuring that visitors learn about the buildings and the Discover DeCrypt project. You will work in pairs, covering the opening hours of the buildings, currently 12 noon to 2pm, Monday to Friday from April to September. You can commit to as many or as few hours as you wish. There is also the opportunity to help organise and steward at events and to get more involved in the dynamic Discover DeCrypt project.

About Discover DeCrypt
The Discover DeCrypt project is working with the local community to regenerate St Mary de Crypt Church and the Old Crypt Schoolroom for all to enjoy, especially children, young people and families. This will enable access to the rich architectural and social heritage of the building, opening it up in innovative and creative ways to enhance and transform the lives of people who visit, volunteer and are employed. They will provide opportunities for learning through tours, talks and events, school visits, training, courses, and use of the space for meetings. Young people and volunteers are involved in the development work and will continue to be involved in project development and delivery. This is all happening alongside the continued use of the church as a place of worship and prayer.
