Charlton Kings Youth and Community Centre is looking for a new leader.

The Centre is host to a range of events, celebrations and classes, providing an affordable venue for the benefit of the local community and beyond.

The Board is made up of 6 local people who oversee the management. The Trustees are seeking a new Chair who is keen to contribute their enthusiasm and skills to help guide and support the development of existing expansion plans and bring a new future for the building.

The role includes:

Chairing trustee meetings
Overseeing the management of the building
Overseeing the finances to ensure the Centre stays within budget
Helping the organisation to meet its community and charitable aims

Trustees meet in the evening once every 6 weeks.
What are they looking for?

This is a great role for a community-minded person with good leadership skills, a passion for the community, who has knowledge or experience of organisational governance and is willing to undertake training as needed.

Practical

Meeting times are Monday to Thursday in the evening. Volunteer expenses will be reimbursed.
