Circles of Support and Accountability-southwest

About this volunteer-involving organisation

Circles of Support and Accountability are an innovative and successful community contribution to reducing sexual offending, and hence making communities safer. They offer a practical way for communities to take responsibility for the re-integration of offenders. Funded by the Ministry of Justice, but heavily reliant on fundraising, they operate in fifteen areas of the UK.

Circles South West was established in 2010 after two successful pilot projects had been completed in the region. They are rightly proud of the fact that, substantially against the odds, none of the men who have participated in this region has been convicted of further sexual offences.
